TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (WBFF) — Police in Maryland released surveillance photos Saturday of two men, who they believe shot three people at a mall the previous day.
The Prince George’s County Police Department shared the images on Twitter.
"Investigators located surveillance video which shows as the two suspects leave the mall entrance, one of them opens fire. Investigators continue to work to determine whether this was a random act or if any of the victims were the intended target," police noted in a news release.
"A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case," authorities added.
Police said shots rang out at The Shops at Iverson around 12:45 p.m. Friday.
Prince George's County Police Chief Aziz Malik said two groups of people were leaving the mall when they got into an argument. He said the two men turned around and fired at the other group, wounding one man and two women.
The men then fled the scene before police could intervene, police said.
Photos taken from security camera footage show two men, one with his weapon drawn, outside the mall. One of the men is wearing a ski mask to hide his face. A police car is visible in the background.
Several police officers were at the scene as the shooting played out. Malik said there were two on-duty officers working security at the mall, as well as an off-duty officer who had been shopping.
The people who were shot are recovering from their wounds, according to authorities.
"Two of the victims have been treated and released," police noted in the release. "One victim remains hospitalized. At this time, that victim is in critical but stable condition."
